The struggle is real!

I was guilty of this myself (also, Canadians love to say sorry!) until I was told “Don’t be sorry, be better”. Sounds harsh but I still think of it and try to be a better surgeon/colleague/ trainee/ teacher every day

Lessons frm my 1st mo as an attending 1-Trust ur training: smart people who know u well said that ur ready 4 THIS job 2-Schedule 1st elective OR day when 1 of ur partners is operating, won’t need them but feels better knowing some1’s close by 3-More than ever, prepare 4 ur cases
