V important to be thinking about this. theguardian.com/commentisfree/… Politicians do indeed seem to enact education policy with little thought re impact on pupil mental health. Is this because it's just too hard to do so/monitoring test data is much easier? Needs attention, in any case.

Entry to GCSE arts subjects has declined for the ninth year in a row, with Campaign for the Arts (Campaign for the Arts) warning that the "alarming" trend should be a "wake-up call" to address the loss of creative subjects from secondary schools. bit.ly/44w7w9X
