Longest ride yet in this training block—31 miles in the bank. Faced with a choice of 2.5 hrs solo or club ride with mates, it was a no-brainer. Laughs, good chat & a healthy dose of “Are we nearly there yet?” made the miles fly (sort of). Legs are toast, but spirits are high!

Today, I'm suffering with a really bad, headachey 'hangover' from yesterday's two-wheeled antics. This is my reminder of why I'm doing it...

Living with a brain tumour diagnosis can feel isolating – but it doesn’t have to. Join us this Easter Sunday for a walk at Draycote Water, Warwickshire with others who understand what you’re going through. Carers/supporters also welcome. Email: [email protected]

Crewing has made me a better endurance runner. Watching others race taught me so much about pacing, nutrition timing, & listening to the body. Sometimes the best way to level up is by stepping back, observing, and supporting others on their journey. #Endurance #AdventureAthlete

Being told you have a “benign” brain tumour can sound harmless, but the reality is often life-changing. I’m taking a petition to NHS England & the Royal College of Surgeons to ask for a change in the language used. Please sign & share: change.org/BenignIsNotFine #BenignIsNotFine

Training did not end well today. With just 30 mins to go, there was a little drama. Questioning my life choices right now...

Just because the scar is often hidden, doesn't mean the struggle is over. Brain tumours leave lasting impacts that most people never see. Healing is ongoing — and strength isn't always visible. #BrainTumourAwareness #HiddenStruggles #InvisibleIllness

Grateful to my son, Alex, for asking if anyone fancied joining him for a run and getting me out of the door when I'd resigned myself to the fact it was just going to be one of those not so good head days. Amazing what you can achieve when you really thought you couldn't.

Slight mishap on my bike (again) this weekend, which landed me in A&E having my fully torn ear stitched back together. It was going really well too, until it wasn't! I'll now have more scars for my collection. Read more about why I'm doing this here: givewheel.com/fundraising/70…

7 yrs ago today, brain surgery saved my life. I was terrified & unsure of the future. Since then: ultra runs, mountains, cycling, a CIC, and more. Recovery isn't easy, but it's possible. This year: Iceland, King Alfred's Way, Sahara. I’m not done yet.⬇️ instagram.com/p/DJin9u2MtvT/…

Heard Richard Spur on LBC talking about the Princess of Wales' message on nature and healing. I couldn’t call in (3:15am—Neil would've killed me!) but sent a message, and was chuffed to hear it read out. Nature has been vital in my recovery. Here’s the clip. #NatureHeals

Good morning! In need of local Icelandic knowledge... Is there anyone out there who can advise me (or give good source of info) on F road conditions in #Iceland? Next challenge is fast approaching and need to put firm plans (and contingency plans) in place. Thank you!! 🙏🏻

Training isn't just about the running... It's about pitching the new tent - which is so lightweight, but totally weird and unlike any tent I've used before! It's paying attention to detail. #EnduranceTraining #ExpeditionTraining #RunningIceland
