What a fantastic session on asthma, hormones (Newcomb Lab), mucus (Param Nair) and infection (Sarah Diver) at #winterBTS2023. So interesting with real hope for new treatments for difficult to treat asthma.

Brilliant inaugural Asthma + Lung UK British Association for Lung Research (BALR) lecture at #BTSWinter2023 by Durrington Lab about changes in clinical features of asthma across the day, regulated by peripheral clocks. Potential implications for timing of treatment - and clinical assessments!


How/when do patients dispose of old or unwanted inhalers? Out of 199 patients surveyed 20% used their inhalers after the dose counter was zero. In 29 patients who had no dose counter only 48% felt confident to know when the inhaler had no doses left UHLPharmacy #BTSWinter2023
