On route to #rcmconf25 Bโ€™ham from North Wales but train delayed (of course it is ๐Ÿ™„) by 54mins. So took my coffee and croissant to the beach. Iโ€™ll get there in the end!

(1/5)๐Ÿฉธ Did you know? 1 in 20 people will have a blood clot at some point in their life โ€” and risk increases with age. But knowing the signs and symptoms can save lives. #LetsTalkClots #NTW

Fantastic discussion about risk of VTE (blood clots) in pregnancy. Raising awareness of VTE in pregnancy is key so women with higher chance of VTE receive preventative treatment in the first trimester.

The ABC programme is designed to reduce the risks associated with two key contributors to preventable brain injury during labour: managing impacted fetal head at caesarean birth, and recognising and responding to the baby who may be deteriorating during labour. (2/4)

The ABC programme was co-designed with service users and maternity professionals to support best care, including communicating effectively and respectfully with the person in labour and their birth partner. (3/4)

Love this example of Maslowโ€™s Hierarchy of Needs. Starting with Basic need: โ€œteam members need to feel safe and secure in their roles.โ€ Our job as leaders is to ensure this if we want our teams to flourish and grow and do great things.
