Turf team forever!

This week the turf team counted seed heads on the zoysia green for a USGA suppression trial. 🌞

The turf team installed eighty Soil Scout soil moisture sensors on the bent grass green this week! These underground sensors provide accurate and actionable information about soil conditions. The sensors continuously measure soil moisture, salinity, and temperature.

They say April showers bring May flowers…they forgot to include hail, heavy rains, 100+ mph straight line winds, awesome cloud formations, rainbows, northern lights, and tornadoes. This May has had some crazy weather phenomenons, here’s my end of the month weather round up!

How does the song go? Black eyed Susan fields forever?? This is my planting date/method trial. I am comparing a fall, winter, and spring planting date using different methods: hydroseed, TruAx drill, and broadcast. It’s mesmerizing to see these flowers move with pollinators!
