Interesting paper on recalibration of risk prediction models from our friends at Biostatistics: Uni of Leicester: academic.oup.com/ije/advance-ar… Covers some important issues in prognostic modelling and calibration with time to event outcomes. Great work!

The Stata Guide (medium.com/the-stata-guide) is slowly growing with over 180 subscribers now. On average three articles are added each month and the topics covered are branching out. A lot more is planned on the dataviz side but I also want do more on the research side.

📢 NEW OPEN-ACCESS PAPER "Using temporal recalibration to improve the calibration of risk prediction models in competing risk settings when there are trends in survival over time" doi.org/10.1002/sim.98… Many thanks to Sarah Booth for leading this work to improve calibration

Nice extension of the temporal recalibration approach to competing risks settings, allowing more up-to-date estimates of cumulative incidence functions. Useful when developing prognostic models, particularly for longer-term risks. Led by Sarah Booth, thanks to all co-authors.
