Excited to announce the Oregon Decision Neuroscience Symposium! *April 19 in Eugene*. Featuring @knutson_brain, Cendri Hutcherson, Ming Hsu, Shenhav Lab, John Clithero. Plus travel awards and networking! ctn.uoregon.edu/oregon-decisio…

joy division! large reward prediction error events are better remembered, show intact links with preceding events, YET interrupt the temporal integration of events around them. 4 experiments + computational model with Norman Lab Yael Niv @yaelniv.bsky.social @urrational new preprint!

Excited to share this paper where we use individual differences to show how gains in preference and long-term memory are related. Fun collaboration (as always) with Vishnu Murty and Elizabeth Eberts!

New paper proposing a key role for latent cause inference in event segmentation with the brilliant Yeon Soon Shin (@yeonsoonshin.bsky.social). Part of an exciting, forthcoming special issue on “Event-Predictive Cognition” in Topics in Cognitive Science. doi.org/10.1111/tops.1… psyarxiv.com/gqhwv

Another 4 years later, very excited that this is out in the world! biorxiv.org/content/10.110… We (Sarah DuBrow, @JonWinawer, @LilaDavachi) show that event boundaries -> compressed duration judgments (due to reduced memory access) + hippocampal patterns predict subjective judgments!

After 12 years of hovering around psychosis research, my 1st first-authored psychosis paper is out. Sarah DuBrow @MJalbrzikowski Dr. Bea Luna nature.com/articles/s4153…

Thanks DoellerLab! i started this project in 2012 and i'm so happy that it finally made it out. here's the preprint version (pretty much the same and not behind a paywall): psyarxiv.com/z3tsd x.com/doellerlab/sta…
