I have just had to ask how to return a book to the library despite working here since January. It's a wonder librarians let academics & their hoarding tendencies anywhere near books! #twittetstorians #18thC

Do you research / teach book history or 18thc literature/history? No £ to purchase books for your institution? Once again I am obliged to demurely note that my recently published Element about Burneys, books and bibliomania is available for FREE.

I have not heard this discussed much, but this point is spot on. Colleges and universities cannot sell themselves as bastions of environmental sustainability while also encouraging students and faculty to see ChatGPT as a learning tool they should integrate into their work.

Thanks to past me, who seems to have written a pretty decent lecture on #19thC urbanisation and migration and then entirely forgotten about it! #amteaching

Such a delight to present my research IHR British History in the Long C18th Seminar last night. It is such a supportive & challenging forum of senior scholars - presenting here never fails to improve the quality of my work. Thank you to everyone who came, & all those who asked questions #twitterstorians #18thC
