This is a complete mess. The government is promising new changes, new concessions, 90 minutes before MPs vote. None of this is written down. The Bill we are voting on tonight is unamended. This is an unacceptable way of making laws. Just pull the Bill.

Whatever promises of changes have been made to MPs, two things remain: 1) When MPs vote tonight, the 4-point PIP rule is still in the Bill 2) Over 700,000 low-paid sick & disabled new claimants will lose their UC health payments - £3,000 on average. That's £2 BILLION of cuts.

Gutting. The second reading has passed. This Bill cannot be allowed to be rammed through on 9 July with only verbal changes. There must be a re-drafting process and full parliamentary scrutiny #TakingThePIP

The welfare bill has passed but it’s barely the same bill. It’s government by cut and paste and with such chaotic speed, many ministers will barely know what’s in it. An utter shambles - and horrific unnecessary stress and suffering for disabled and sick people watching on.
