We are relieved the Government of Israel and Hamas have reached an agreement to pause hostilities in Gaza after 15 months of siege and bombardment and to release hostages. We hope it offers the first step towards the peace, protection and accountability that children deserve.

It is time to end the siege on Gaza and allow far more aid to be delivered there, including shelter, food and medical supplies. The international community must ensure accountability for the atrocities children have endured throughout the region. This must never happen again.

All around the world, violence and conflict have forced families to flee their homes. Many children live in tents. All children deserve safety, education, health care, and a safe home. Save the Children helps provide these things to children with nowhere else to go.
