This Earth Day - Stand up against the Sportswashing of Ecocide! Moy Park is the most valuable company in the north, despite being mired with eco scandals. Pollution from major polluters like them have led to the growth of toxic Algae in Lough Neagh, #BelfastMarathon

Great article by Amy Cochrane which highlights the need to Save Slieve Donard and the great work being undertaken by Donard Mountain to do so! Time for National Trust NI to exercise its veto and call an end to this madness!

More special pleading from Ulster Farmers' Union in Farming Life Presents industrial farming as “just one contributor” to the nutrient problem causing the ecocide of Lough Neagh, conveniently neglecting that farming is responsible for 2/3 of the problem….treating the Lough as an open sewer

99.5% of responses opposed 7 new licences (that's 2,163). Courts also quashed 3 licences. In our response we said this process for new licences was predetermined & unlawful. Now Economy NI has just approved 7 new licences!! Extractivism on steroids. economy-ni.gov.uk/publications/c…

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU everyone for the absolute tidal wave of kindness and support I've had over the last 12 hours. I'm pleased to say all is well at this end. I had my treatment almost a year ago to the day, High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound and everything is now

Our rivers, lakes and seas are in crisis, and systemic change is urgently needed. We welcome DAERA’s consultation on the 2026–2029 Nutrients Action Programme (NAP) – a crucial opportunity to take real action for the health of our freshwater & marine environments (1/2)

Our response to BBC News on the story of attempts to impose the gondola project on Rostrevor. We sent the below comment with photograph (March 2025) of an “infrastructure” of crumbling barrels of concrete on the shore side of Mourne Coastal route between Rostrevor and Killowen.

Cartoons to give people a lift. When council officials and their cheerleaders go into pantomime mode, they must prepare for the sound of very loud laughter in their ears. Sign the petition to say NO to the gondola in Kilbroney Forest Park, Rostrevor ⬇️ change.org/p/say-no-to-go…

Many of us are well aware that Sinn Fein & Unionist parties offer only words when it comes to the environment and are responsible for the demise of Lough Neagh. Yet it was an SDLP minister who signed off on sand dredging of the Lough in the last term. Don't try to gaslight us.

“Thames Water renationalisation plans being stepped up”. Tick tock, tick tock….. All totally predictable, all should have been dealt with a year ago. Meanwhile prolonged dithering has cost bill payers how much? theguardian.com/business/2025/…

Yippee, given the urgency of the water crisis and after extending the consultation we are going to get a: "time bound stakeholder task and finish group"..... then another consultation WHAT A LOAD OF PISH. #WaterIsLife #RIPLoughNeagh share.google/M890RP2fOv9FaY…
