Hi Sandra Ung 黄敏仪 and New York City Council! Enhancing the AAPI Community Support Initiative to $7.5M will be a big step towards eliminating barriers to education, healthcare, employment, and other rights inaccessible to our most vulnerable AAPI New Yorkers! #18PercentAndGrowing

SAYA is a proud member of Coalition for Asian American Children and Families’s #18PercentAndGrowing Campaign! For 16 years, this campaign has pushed to ensure our communities get the funding they deserve from New York City Council. Follow along all week for updates from our annual #CityAdvocacyWeek! Coalition for Asian American Children and Families @nyccouncil

Through trainings and outreach efforts by 34 CBOs, #AccessHealthNYC has reached hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers to provide much needed health care information. We're asking New York City Council to enhance our funding to $4 million so that we can continue this vital work!

Next stop: Staten Island! Join Rita C. Joseph & Kamillah M. Hanks for a town hall on 4/4. Programs at risk of cuts include 3-K, preschool special education, social workers, community schools, shelter-based coordinators, bilingual supports & more. Register at forms.office.com/r/SWEessDAW5

We agree, New York City Council. NYS must reject the proposed change to the school funding formula inflation factor. As federal stimulus $$ expire, NYS should be increasing funds to help NYC Public Schools sustain important education programs--not making the situation even worse for our students.

AAPI nonprofits are the first place community members turn when they need culturally accessible services. We urge Governor Kathy Hochul to restore $30 million in funding to AAPI communities so that we can continue providing these vital services. Read more: bit.ly/RestoreAAPIEqu…

The AAPI community deserves its fair share of the budget to support our safety and livelihood. We hope New York City Council will continue to fund the 18% and Growing initiatives. #18PercentandGrowing #BudgetEquity
