We offer 4 PhD-student positions in the ERC project CLIMGROW on “Climate policy versus economic growth: Views, models and innovative strategies”. Location: ICTA-UAB, Barcelona, Spain. #environmentaleconomics, #climatepolicy, #politicalsupport, #agrowth euraxess.ec.europa.eu/jobs/167074

Check our new work on using #NLP to elicit differences in drivers of incremental vs #transformational #climate #adaptation & across global regions, led by Sofia Gil-Clavel Tnx to SC3 Team , NWO Nieuws VIDI on social #tipping #points in #CCA & discussions w @tudelftTBM colleagues

Happy to share that even the last chapter of my PhD dissertation has been published OA in Scientific Reports and is available at this link: nature.com/articles/s4159…. Paper:

Thnx Henk Ovink for the inspiring talk this evening The Green Village. In the times when we are “urbanizing faster in climate-sensitive areas” it is refreshing to hear that engineering has to be paired w collaborative partnerships to deliver solutions

Our new study in Scientific Reports nature.com/articles/s4159… shows that economic #damages of #climate-induced #SLR are higher than previously estimated. National damages mask the true costs of climate-induced #SLR that could be an order of magnitude higher.

Damage caused by sea level rises could cost the EU and UK economies up to 872 billion Euros in total by the end of the century, according to a study published in Scientific Reports. go.nature.com/3O4WJ1l

How to better represent institutions in sustainability models? Check our new PNASNews paper that compares: - integrated assessment model (led by me) - engineering-economic optimization (Michael Davidson ) - agent-based model (Tatiana Filatova) A thread: pnas.org/doi/10.1073/pn…

📚 Paul Smaldino’s (Paul Smaldino) new book, “Modeling Social Behavior.” explores the power of computational modeling to understand why misinformation spreads, cooperation falters, and vaccination hesitancy persists. ow.ly/EhJF50QXYme

Proud of Ignasi Cortés winning a TU Delft #Climate Action Best Paper award! Congratulations💐 linkedin.com/feed/update/ur…. Check our new estimates of indirect #SLR #damages for European regions: nature.com/articles/s4159… Tnx to our co-authors & to European Research Council (ERC) for funding. SC3 Team

Climate mobility is the topic Global Centre for Climate Mobility during #ClimateWeekNYC . What do climate impacts mean for people? How will they change behavior & where will they go? It was insightful to hear Ben Hamlington & Michael Oppenheimer talk about #SLR & #migration. What data&models can support policy?
