On the London Overground. I’ve just asked a young guy playing loud music out of his phone to turn his music down. He asked stroppily why he should. I said because it was uncivilised. He then turned it off and said “yeah, that’s fair” I HAVE NEVER FELT SO ALIVE

Magister spells out the extent of Francis’s deceit over the Summorum Pontificum survey of bishops, first revealed by Diane Montagna. This is a MAJOR SCANDAL and we must treat it as such: diakonos.be/those-views-of…

Thank you to BishopSarah for being this motion before General Synod which highlights the risk to the vulnerable of the assisted suicide bill and calls for greater government investment in palliative care. The motion passed 238-7. churchtimes.co.uk/articles/2025/…

🎬 A special day recently recording the soundtrack for Swallow – an extraordinary film I’m proud to be part of. I recorded on a glorious Steinway Model C, beautifully prepared in Canterbury’s Colyer-Fergusson hall. Pictured is the brilliant director Katerina Philippou-Curtis,

I want my daughter to have a childhood. I don't want her targeted age 14 or 15 by ANY political party ahead of qualifying to vote. Or adults thinking its okay to try to convert her to their way of thinking. I want her to have a childhood and us adults to take responsibility.

So sad to hear that Sir Roger Norrington has left us. Such a unique, life-affirming character and musician. I think that he always felt like an outsider - which made him insecure, but also contributed to the freshness and originality of his music-making. Farewell and thank you.
