If anyone seeing ILD pts wants to join a prospective patient reported outcome project send me a DM or reply here! We’ve got IRB language I can supply and it takes less than 1 minute in the room with patient and 8 minutes for patient to fill out a survey after #ILDtwitter

Had this experience 2x (same person) during junior faculty mentoring meetings where I presented my ā€œplanā€ to senior faculty/mentors. Didn’t stop there either as he proceeded to email blast everyone in our institution re: his concerns. never met w/ me or included me in the emails

No better pulmonary physiology teacher than Rick Albert, always kind of grumpy, but always insightful. When I was an intern in 2013 he was chair at DH, he came to every single noon report that year, he was always so concerned about the respiratory rate! Learned a ton

Three months after launching our investigation into the outrageously high cost of inhalers in this country, three major manufacturers agreed to cap their costs. Soon, the vast majority of Americans with asthma and COPD will pay no more than $35 for their inhalers.

Tough week on NIH funding front, R21 that scored 8% was ā€œnot fundedā€ on Monday and second grant was ā€œnot discussedā€ this weekend. I’m undeterred, ā€œthe obstacle becomes the way,ā€ but also
