In his talk on the second day of the seminar, Dr. Momoc Antonio discussed the etymological roots of democracy and the idea of liberal democracy. He also brought up important issues such as individual liberties, rule of law, and the threat of populism to modern democracies.


On the second day of the Seminar, Dr. Rasha El-Ibiary, in her talk titled "Journalistic coverage of pandemic in Egypt," discusses how media theories can be used to understand and explain our media environment and its relationship with our society during the COVID-19 pandemic


The third day of the international seminar. Dr. sharon wilson discusses the media landscape in Malaysia. She is focussing on legal and ethical issues, especially the developments during the COVID-19 pandemic.



Dr. Momoc Antonio, visiting Fulbright Scholar at the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism, appeared on Antena 3, a CNN affiliate in Romania, to discuss the upcoming visit of Kamala Harris, the US vice president, to Romania.


The Institute for international Journalism welcomes Momoc Antonio who will be discussing issues related to the Russia-Ukraine conflict and the role of media in the News and Information Literacy class at the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism on Thursday, March 17th.


It was great to have Momoc Antonio from Romania as a guest speaker in the news and information literacy class at the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism. The lecture was part of the Institute for international Journalism 's Global Classroom Program.
