The fact that this was just 6 weeks ago is a huge mindfuck. This feels like two years ago lol.

Cold calling sucks. I’m trying to get BOLD BAR into as many independent gyms as possible. Called dozens of gyms today across Austin, Boston, and Chicago. Same thing every time. Ask to speak to the owner or manager, tell the BOLD story, offer samples. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.

My girlfriend spent 5 hours with me walking around NYC filming videos for BOLD BAR. 5 hours. On a Saturday. Having someone by my side who wants to see me win is the world‘s best motivator. I almost feel like I’ve already won even though I’ve proven nothing at all. Also helps

I don’t know how or why it’s happened, but it’s a very nice feeling to see the little project I started get seen & enjoyed by some very well known people. BOLD BAR is still very small/early. All I can say is I’m wildly grateful for all the support I’ve received. Thank you.

Well this was pretty cool. And interesting. A friend of mine sent me this last night. BOLD BAR came up first when searching for caffeinated protein bars on. ChatGPT. I’ve done absolutely zero SEO optimization. Zero. What gives?

I really hate the “meal replacement” idea. But a TON of people tell me they eat BOLD BAR for breakfast. Do I lean into this narrative now?

Meta ads in early stage CPG seems like a cop out. But so many obsess over it? I don’t get it?! 99.9% of BOLD BAR purchases have been organic. I ran some ads to learn the ropes, but feels much smarter to “spend” on sampling…am I wrong? Product in mouths worth much more.

Building BOLD BAR as a one-man operation comes with an incomprehensible level of accountability. The kind of accountability I didn’t even know existed. There’s no such thing as a day off. If I’m not working, there’s no progress. It’s that simple. You have to dig deep.
