Reading the innumerable tributes to the iconic Ozzy Osbourne and I'm struck by how fulsome they are. He was loved deeply and revered, his and Black Sabbath's influence immense, but remained an unmistakably Brummie lad. There's sadness, sure, but also celebration of a unique life.

How very sad. Was lucky enough to see him close the #BirminghamCommmonwealthGames in 2022. He was fantastic. His last gig raised a record breaking Β£140k for charity only 3 weeks ago. What a legacy Ozzy. #RIPOzzy #Brummie
