People will call me daft, say we should give them a chance. Nah, if the manager is anyone other than Gerrard or Muscat they should be hounded as soon as they walk in the door. The likes of Rohl, Solksjaer should never ever be considered nevermind one foot in the door

Unless Thelwell and Stewart leave. It will be Rohl, McCann or Stephen Robinson. No proven manager wants a Head Coach Role, Gerrard fell through now Muscat as they want to be Managers. Yes there is a budget, but a Head Coach doesn't have final say on Transfers unlike a Manager.

Empire ✶ ✶ ✶ ✶ I mean he's literally at the same level as Gerrard and Muscat. I would argue he may be in the tier above based on Gerrard's Villa and Saudi stints and Muscat being in his 50's and yet to succesfully manage in a top 10 league. Rohl's only 36 and arguably has the greater potential

Gerrard, Muscat, Rohl, Martindale, Mick Kennedy Doesn’t matter who gets the job as long as tney come in and start this week I’ll support any manager until results dictate otherwise 💙🇬🇧

The irony is that this board set out with the intent of apologising & making it upto fans & yet ended up disappointing the das, the common sense folk & the football nerds by making us think it was Gerrard & then Muscat. Now we’re back round to square 1 & yer like get it over with

Stu Thats what they want mate, another wee boy they can control. Dyche, Gerrard, McInnes, Muscat wouldn't put up with Thelwell.

Big Mo🍊 No Gerrard walked out and then snubbed us, his chance is gone, we need to make Muscat work out....the new owners must give him the control he needs and sack Thelwell and Stuart.

Colin  Jesus da, Rangers da What’s clearly happening here is Thellwell and his son want total control of deciding on players. It was the rumour when Gerrard knocked it back and now Muscat’s people have confirmed that. So basically he wants a yes man puppet which is why no decent manager will touch the job

AgentOrange The 4th Official Who’s head you calling for when we are bottom/ mid table this season? Rohl will not have a say in transfers! Muscat and Gerrard pretty much pointed that out!

1872 Empire ✶ ✶ ✶ ✶ The mess of this summers manager recruitment and this one means they will have to get lucky because they certainly dont have any plan. Martin, Gerrard, Muscat and Rohl are all completely different managers.

. Gerrard is a serial loser as a manager. Muscat is a guy who can’t hack it in leagues that have any respectability about them.

AgentOrange Logic all over the place. I’d be happy with a serial winner like Muscat/Gerrard but pissed off at another wetwipe manager. What does that tell you? Don’t answer that. Try use yer fried brain and think about it.

Jabbadabutt RFC If the 49ers had Gerrard up to the finish line, then Thelwell blew it, like he blows everything he touches, why wouldn't they phone Gerrard, find out what suddenly changed? Then Thelwell only goes and blows the Muscat deal. You sack him, don't you? He has the reverse Midus touch

Cal Macleod (@calmacleod) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Richard McLuckie We needed someone who would galvanise the support . Gerrard would have done that , I believe Muscat was capable of doing that , but Rohl isn’t going to sell any EL packages , and he’ll get no patience from the fans .

-Gerrard+Muscat have both engaged in lengthy negotiations to turn it down over the structure/recruitment What is it about them that’s so bad? The structure is similar to several other clubs Thelwell described a collaborative approach to recruitment when he joined, which clearly
