Dave Rogers Dan Neidle As far as I know, if you discover that you have underpaid HMRC and notify them, as long as you pay the amount owing there are no further repercussions.

Robert Peston I had underpaid several thousands of £ in tax under PAYE. When I told HMRC I had no idea I was told all tax is the responsibility of the taxpayer & ignorance is no excuse. I paid up but learned a lesson.

Angela Rayner you're one of the most useless politicians that has ever existed. Your a tax cheat and should be facing legal action from the HMRC. Resign immediately, and thank you for as a member of #ReformUK. I hope you lose your seat at the next General Election.

Kevin O'Sullivan Her tax avoidance (legal) became tax evasion (illegal) which is defrauding the King`s Exchequer If we tried to "defraud" HMRC of £40k, HMRC wouldn`t settle for "Sorry, here`s £40k it was a mistake" They`d take the £40k Charge % Hit us with a hefty fine, jail, or both

Peter Bleksley Angela Rayner You forgot the margarine. She needs to resign. There is a perfectly good SDLT calculator on the HMRC website which I use regularly. She has her snout so firmly in the trough you can barely see her tail...

It would be quite amusing if HMRC imposes a fine on Angela Rayner that is so high she has to sell her newly purchased home to pay it

Hugh 🌹 In legal terms this is known as the “mens rea” or guilty mind. It is, therefore, not possible to accidentally or carelessly evade tax. Tax evasion is also known as tax fraud. It is a criminal offence which is often investigated by HMRC Fraud Investigations Services

"bogus legal advice"? No, you got found out and now you're scrabbling to save your career & freedom! HMRC should throw the book at her!
