I’ll never stop being amazed by how the people of the North East pull together to make the #GNR happen. GNR staff and volunteers, local heroes with snacks and high fives, St John’s and Not North East Ambulance Service, the Tyne and Wear Metro staff, and many more. You all make me so proud to be a Geordie.

It is 5:05am in Glasgow Airport, and I’m looking for a hands up from all the formerly overachieving teenagers who now channel all that energy into being adult women who are Good At Airport Security. You are my people.

It’s a beautiful morning in Amsterdam, or at least what I saw of it from the windows as I raced through Schiphol.

It took a lot of inner swearing and a bit of finding of my inner Zen, and the route to and from the airport is now quite frankly engraved on my very soul, but myself *and* my luggage have arrived in Bucharest.

In the airport today I saw the big transparent box of No Obviously You Can’t Bring That On A Plane, Have You Lost Your Mind, and I have some questions for the multiple people who casually chucked a kitchen knife into their hand luggage.

Recurrent reminders on World Mental Health day at #SAMBrighton that all of us medical starlings need to be happy and mentally healthy in order to cohesively murmurate like this lovely lot, to provide excellent care for our patients and keep coming to work every day.

It’s oddly affirming to be at #sambrighton, hearing from amazing colleagues that everywhere’s on fire and we’re all struggling. This morning feels like it’s given us permission to exhale, just for a minute.
