Today there was a discussion at the House of Lords on #FGM and our Patron Baroness Rosie Boycott raised a key point from our ‘One Question Campaign’ which is on our ask for holistic healthcare for survivors who may need the reconstructive surgery.

We are so delighted to announce the arrival of our second Patron Sir Max Hill KCB KC. Max joins The Vavengers with a previous track record of anti-Gender-Based Violence campaigning.

We were delighted to join a ministerial roundtable with Anneliese Dodds at Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office in London. The high-level meeting welcomed activists and NGOs including our CEO Sema Gornall and we shared the space with our long-term partners.

Sir Max Hill KC and I were delighted to meet with Attorney General Lord Richard Hermer to discuss the legal and health landscape leaving women and girls vulnerable to FGM or survivors unsupported in the UK. More action to follow from this meeting. ✊

Tonight at @guildhallartlondon at the heart of City of London we celebrated the opening of @concordiasummit Europe with co chairs Theresa May and Cherie Blair.

Last week, I received the Freedom of the City of London by redemption. The ceremony was at Guildhall, the municipal building in the City of London which took place in the Chamberlain’s Court with a formal admission ceremony.
