July 27th marks the anniversary of the armistice that brought an end to the Korean War. Often called “The Forgotten War,” it is anything but forgotten in our hearts. Today, we honor the brave soldiers who served and the sacrifices they made so their courage is always remembered.

On this day 235 years ago, the United States Coast Guard was formed. We thank the Coast Guard for standing ready to protect our shores and waterways and for all the sacrifices they make in the name of our safety. Their selflessness does not go unnoticed.
