Kicked off Saturday at the 6th Annual City Island Water Jubilee—hosted by the City Island Chamber of Commerce, with proceeds benefiting the their Oyster Reef 🦪⛵ Then headed over to New Ro for Family Fun Day @ The Y — we had some great energy and plenty of fun to go around! 🎉

Another amazing turnout for this year’s National Night Out 👮🏽‍♀️ across the district Grateful to the New Rochelle PD and the 43rd, 45th, and 49th Precincts for bringing neighbors together. Events like these remind us that when trust is built, real public safety follows.🤝🏽💙

Emily Gallagher, Jumaane Williams (@jumaane.bsky.social) , and fellow advocates to oppose the Cross Bronx expansion. Our communities deserve clean air & infrastructure that protects—not pollutes—our neighborhoods🌳

Swimming in the ocean will be prohibited over the next two days. NYC public beaches will be closed for swimming Wednesday, August 20 and Thursday, August 21 due to high risk of rip currents from Hurricane Erin. Rip currents can sweep even strong swimmers out to sea quickly.

Watching today’s ribbon cutting at Haven Charter High School felt like opening doors to new futures! This specialized high school will prepare Bronx students for healthcare careers, offering diplomas plus certifications before college 🎉🩺⛑️
