A deal between the EU and US provides much needed certainty. While Ireland regrets a baseline tariff of 15%, it is important that we now have more certainty on the foundations for the EU-US trade relationship. This is essential for jobs, growth and investment. My statement:

Among the highlights of my memorable week at Oideas Gael in Glencolmcille was meeting my colleague Senator Manus Boyle and his Dad John a lifetime friend. Senator Manus has hit the ground running bringing home the bacon to Donegal in a big way.

Summer provides a chance to catch up with friends. Yesterday in Ardara I met up with my great colleague and friend Siobhan Shovlin . It is huge to move to teach in Dublin and shortly after get elected to Dublin Fingal County Council. She is a doer and no fuss or frills.
