At #HCOMP2024, two inspiring keynotes:Jahna Otterbacher on fairness & bias in Generative AI, stressing public engagement & transparency. AI can uplift when ethics lead! vivek seshadri on how Karya pays workers 20x the minimum wage & offers royalties for ethical AI work!

We explored how crowdworkers use desktops, smartphones, tablets , speaker and watch for two different stages of task, uncovering 3 distinct worker types!

We uncovered 3 distinct worker types using clustering: 🖥️ The Traditionalists: Rely on desktops for complex tasks. 📱 The Hybrid Workers: Use desktops but transition to mobile devices. 📲 The Mobile Mavericks: Fully embrace smartphones/tablets for flexibility.
