Honored to meet UN ECOSOC President President H.E. Mr. Bob Rae. We discussed #INCB’s impact on availability of controlled medicines & drug trafficking as well as the need for sustained resources to support States in implementing the United Nations drug control treaties to safeguard health & welfare.

I was honoured to speak at the #UNGA on 10 years of the Nelson Mandela Rules on prison management. The Rules remind us that even behind bars, hope must not be caged & dignity must not be denied. Let’s carry forward Mandela’s legacy by turning second chances into new beginnings.

While United Nations HQ, I met H. E. Mr. Dionisio Da Costa Babo Soares, Permanent Representative of #TimorLeste, to discuss #INCB #Precursors support in implementing the 1988 Convention & encourage accession to the 1961 & 1971 Conventions to ensure #availablity of controlled medicines.

Delighted to meet with H.E. Teburoro Tito, Permanent Representative, #Kiribati, United Nations HQ to encourage accession to the international drug control treaties to safeguard health. We also discussed Kiribati's ongoing participation in #INCBLearning and #INCB GRIDS Programme activities.
