This ASC memory is from Kathryn Wildt: "This is actually a Shenandoah Shakespeare Express memory. In the mid-90s, SSE performed MACBETH and then gave a presentation on how the blood they used was made. I remember red food coloring & grapefruit flesh for texture. It was amazing!"

NEW BARDATHON REVIEW: I love the American Shakespeare Center CORIOLANUS so much that I couldn't sleep until I'd reviewed it. A production which, to me, was revelatory in its particular exploration of extreme reactions to imposed pressure, with mesmeric performances. drpeterkirwan.com/2023/11/04/cor…

This ASC memory is from Cliff Garstang: "I took my seat for OUR TOWN not knowing that whoever occupied that seat would be assigned a line to speak during the play. The instructions were printed on a card, along with the cue & the line. I was so relieved when that scene was done!"

8 November 1623: The #FirstFolio went on sale, following its registration at The Worshipful Company of Stationers. 8 November 2023: 400 years on, we celebrate its legacy today. Because without it, we would have lost 18 of Shakespeare's plays including #Macbeth and more 📚
