Some great advice in this thread and I'm a fan of this grad school entry process in Canada. I found that many of my current peers were unaware of the fact that you can apply to your PhD lab first instead of the school/program

I've been curious about the NAc epigenome since a grad student w Eric J. Nestler, MD, PhD. For>15yrs I wanted to do this study: happy to share new work from ParthBhatia,@Lite72588720, JayLuo,Mengyi Xu on a first draft of NAc chromatin accessibility at sc resolution tinyurl.com/576rch8x

Fun times at #MtlPainCircuits connecting with pain scientists and learning about cutting edge pain biology from around the world. Also, thank you for the chance to talk about the harmonized DRG and TG atlases! Preprint of the work: biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Thrilled to share our cross-species study of TG and DRG cell types in published form! This was a collaborative effort led by Shams and Mengyi Xu across many groups including Rob Gereau, Ted Price director of CAPS at UT Dallas, reza sharif,Jessica Whited, and Clifford Woolf science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…

Check out our recent work Nature Immunology highlighting how every pain condition is different, and immune cells might hold the key to these differences. As a cherry on top, our DRG image was chosen as the cover art 😃 P.C. Sara Hakim nature.com/articles/s4159…
