This morning I sent a letter to Alberta Senators regarding Bill C-293. The Government of Alberta shares the concerns of industry that this bill inappropriately targets animal agriculture, placing our industry at risk of severe restriction. 1/2

I don't know if I can remember a more textbook example of when having a hedging account can make a big difference for farmers - decent futures prices, massive uncertainty, and very weak basis levels for fall delivery. The set up is there for reduced risk and a better net price.
