Ms. Vini Mahajan, Secretary, Department of Drinking Water & Sanitation (#DDWS) visited #Ganjam dist on 19.05.2023 and reviewed progress of #JJM & #SBMG being implemented by Not Ministry of Jalshakti Anymore. Among others Director, Drinking Water & Sanitation Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Department, Collector & District Magistrate, Ganjam & CDO_cum_EO Zilla Parishad, Ganjam were also present.

The delegation team visited #WaterTreatmentPlant of Mega PWS to Mallad Village, Mini Micro Composting Centre(MMCC) at Panibandha village of Mallad GP, interacted with the SHG group members regarding operational aspects of #MMCC. #JalJeevanMission #PipedWaterSupply #FHTC

During the visit to vill: Totapalli, Sri Ramchandrapur GP, the team reviwed #DrainageSystem for #GreyWaterManagement, #twinpit toilets, kitchen garden concept of grey water management (Ganjam Concept), water supply to the village & had a detail discussions with all stakeholders.

As a State Lead for Odisha of Thematic Area- Plastic Waste Management of Rural Wash Partner’s Forum of Ministry of Jal Shakti. HDFC Bank & CEE in partnership with rural excellence are working on a project in rural & urban landscapes free of dry & plastic waste at Ganjam, Odisha.

On World Clean-up Day, clean-up drive with Swachhata Hi Seva Pledge & Signature Campaign was organised at Basudev Sethy Science School, Ganjam, Odisha. Around 5kg of plastic waste was collected and sent to the village MRF center. #SHS2023  #GarbageFreeIndia

On 25th Sep 2023, HDFC bank-Center For Environment Education and CORE with support from school adm. and DWSM,Ganjam organized a swachhata pledge formed human chain involving 450 students from Sankalp Senior Secondary School in Rangeilunda Block,Ganjam #SHS2023 #GarbageFreeIndia

On Sept 25, School Awareness campaign at Sankalpa Senior Secondary School, Ganjam, Odisha was conducted. 10,000 milk packets were collected & sent to MRF for further processing. Over 450 participants took Swachhata Pledge & formed Human Chain to support the fortnight campaign.

Shri Prabhjot Sodhi joined Swachh Bharat Yatra by Augustine Wincent IFAT India as a panelist at Hotel Fortune Shismo Odisha, Bhubaneswar. The panel discussion focused on Plastics EPR and was chaired by Shri Pradeep Jena, Chief Secretary- Odisha and others.
