Just two big things to look forward to in 2025... (1) Mesozoic Art II, edited by Steve White and I and way bigger than the first volume, sees prints, and (2) #DinoCon, happening August in Exeter, is gonna be huge and spectacular. Go to.... dinocon.co.uk

Here's the final cover we're going with on #MesozoicArtII, featuring an image by Anthony Hutchings. The book is already available for preorder online. Out September 2025, and oh boy is it a thing of beauty. #palaeoart #paleoart #books #dinosaurs

I loved the final clash between Obi-Wan and Darth Maul. Always thought he'd have given Maul a respectful send-off. I wanted to 'imagine' Kenobi on his dewback, looking back thoughtfully at the funeral pyre. A4 colour pencils on colour paper. #MayThe4thBeWithYou

A young Ptychodus and trio of Pachyrhizodus enjoy a seasonal glut of Protostega hatchlings. My logic is that adult Ptychodus may have been too large to feed on little turtles but they would have been a useful periodic dietary supplement to juveniles. Quite happy with this.

Got my copy of the graphic novel One Path, by the brilliant Greg Broadmore. God it's sumptuous! Imagine a Grindhouse, blood-soaked One Million Years BC with shades of Lovecraftian Cosmic Horror. The art is beautiful and I loved the story. A must for lovers of dinosaurs & comics!

Commissioned drawing for the forthcoming Enniskillen comicon - an Action Force Eel! I have fond memories of the Eels, especially what might have been Simon Furman's greatest line of dialogue - ever! Anyone else interested, DM me for details.

Juvenile school shark Galeorhinus cuvieri and (right) the weird ray-finned fish, Dibango hiding in a sea grass meadow. Early Eocene Bolca site, Italy. Another piece for the forthcoming shark book, inspired by a dive I did many years ago off the Dorset coat in south England.

A little something arrived in the post today. Actually, it's a pretty sizeable something and hard to do a flip-through with one hand - but you hopefully get the gist. Think Darren Naish and I can feel pleased with how it looks and can't wait for it to be released into the wild!

Hadn't intended to post this but liked the colours.A young Galeorhinus cuvieri with an escort of the batfish, Eoplatax. Beneath are two moonfish, Mene, and the early marine snake Archaeophis. Bottom left: the weird tailless stingray Lessiniabatis. Eocene Bolca Formation, Italy

A little something I wrote recently in collaberation with Withnail Books and Amazing 15's Martin Stiff This is very much a limited edition and can be ordered only from Adam at withnailbooks.com. If you're a #Jaws fan, you might enjoy it...

T. rex v Trike This time, it's personal. A3 private commission Done this scene multiple times and it's a staple of palaeoart so it's hard to find something different. But kinda like it.
