Photographers who think they are more important than the vulnerable people in the picture = dangerous. Orgs that think pictures are more important to 'get the message out' than safeguarding vulnerable people are both incompetent and dangerous. It's not necessary.

Imp question. My answer: Hire more people who look like the community at large. Hire people w/o degrees from 'elite' institutions. Hire people w/o degrees. Hire interns from diverse (esp lower socio-econ) backgrounds & pay them enough so they can afford to intern unsupported.
