In dit boek (verschijnt 5/8) is er niet alleen aandacht voor bekende zeehelden zoals De Ruyter en Tromp, maar komen ook onbekende zeehelden uit de 17e eeuw aan bod. De auteur beschrijft tevens het aandeel van zeehelden in de slavenhandel en de rol van vrouwen op de oorlogsvloot.

Titus Oates was removed from his prison on 11th August1688 to stand in the pillory at Charing Cross in accordance with his punishment for inventing 'Popish' plots, his punishment is why there was the inclusion of banning cruel and unusual punishments in the declaration of rights

Although pardoned by the Whigs Parliament and received a pension, it is important to remember that he was a conspiracist responsible for at least 15 people being executed and huge amounts of religious unrest and violence
