I am so enormously grateful to share this extraordinary company! Thank you to Susan Ferber for her masterful work on all these wonderful books!

What an honor from colleagues who share my intellectual home, SHAFR Historians. This book has been nurtured by SHAFR for its whole lifetime. Words can hardly express my appreciation for this recognition.

Would be remiss if I did not mention how happy I am to share SHAFR honors with my dear pal Erik R Scott whose scholarship inspires me almost as much as his friendship and collegiality sustain me!

The present is terrible! Retreat to the past! Read this excellent new contribution to the way we understand the intersection (ahem) between technology and empire by my colleague Andy Denning

Like all good writing, this essay helped me see the world differently than I do through the lens of my own experience. Give it a few minutes of your time and, if you often let your doggo run off-leash in shared spaces, think about maybe...not?

As an educator who encourages young(er) people to speak up despite their "shaky voices," I think this is an awful take. I watched this call with my 10 yr old daughter so she could see what it looks like to show up for your values. That's not called cringe, that's called bravery.

I can’t emphasize enough how legitimately radical it is on labor for the president of the United States to come out as opposed to Taft-Hartley

Rarely can one feel certain that what's between the pages will be as beautiful, rich, and moving as a cover image like this. With Robert Macfarlane, it is a safe bet. Cannot wait for this to come out.
