Leaving Cusworth Ward after 13 years of being an NA, I never thought that i’d return & become Ward manager. Last year I came back & it was the best decision ever! I have the BEST team & I am so proud of them all! Here’s some of the things we’ve been up to in the last 12 month! ❤️

In our spare time, jason & I volunteer with Evestrust, a Doncaster cancer charity, creating dreams for people locally. This weekend we are moving decking & creating a safe space so one of our dream recipients can isolate & enjoy it after his chemo #evestrust #volunteers

Day 2 of the garden, creating a safe & enjoyable place for Evestrust for someone currently going through chemo. Hotter than yesterday, & ready for a cold shower before going back to work tomorrow. Definitely exhausting but well worth it. Just need to go back to paint it now!🥵

A nice card & gift today from a member of staff for supporting them over the past 6 month personally & professionally. They know my love of Owls, so really appreciated this little gift to sit alongside the rest of the owl sanctuary in my office! #feelingappreciated #loveowls🦉 ❤️

Working on a ward where staff show you their appreciation with flowers, emails & thank you’s is one of the best feelings. Mutual respect is so important, & when the team is so caring and compassionate, that gets passed onto the patients! They make my job so easy! ❤️ #TeamCusworth

It’s been a very busy few weeks on Cusworth Ward, but I’m thrilled that we now have 2 new additions to #TeamCusworth! A beautiful Baby Boy and gorgeous Baby Girl have both arrived safely to our Cusworth mummies Jackie & Holly! Congratulations xx

On our ‘days off’ we volunteer with the charity Evestrust. Last weekend jason & I had the pleasure of hosting a Rocky Horror themed event for a gentleman with his friends. Likely his last birthday & what a special event it was! Dressed up in costumes too!#makingmenories❤️
