On Thursday we met the next generation of pupils ready to start their US University education to hear from a top panel of speakers. The speakers provided an insightful introduction to education in the US to help prepare pupils for their next steps. bit.ly/3XGpE0F

On Monday we welcomed four speakers to Shrewsbury to talk to pupils as part of our Medical Conference. The speakers, which included two Old Salopians, discussed their careers in medicine and offered advice to our pupils on their next steps. A very informative session for pupils.

Congratulations to our Head of Sixth Form and Higher Education Mr Percival who received an 'Outstanding Educator' award from the University of Chicago after being nominated by two former students. This is Mr Percival's second award from a US University. bit.ly/4fv3Njd

Congratulations to Old Salopian Nick Owen (R 1961-66) who has received the MBE for his services to charity and broadcasting. The BBC TV presenter received the award from the Princess Royal earlier this week.

We recently caught up with Head of School Finlay C to talk about his prestigious Robertson Scholarship. Finlay will be heading to the University of North Carolina and Duke University in September to pursue the scholarship, where he is one of just 25 selected scholars. Well done!
