The majority of players reach their natural ceilings at around 16 years of age. Everything after that is the result of work ethic or laziness. Getting older doesn't make players better without work.

In my opinion amateur baseball would benefit from a return to neighborhood baseball for younger ages and American Legion Baseball - or a similar model - for high school aged players.

Great visual of letting the ball travel to apply a tag. Let the ball travel baseline before catching. Don’t reach.

Pitchers: We can’t walk a batter per inning and expect good results. When we are constantly putting bodies on base and pitching under pressure, we can’t be surprised when our coaches start to lose faith in us. Velo, spin rate, spin axis, it all means squat when we can’t compete

Pitchers, little reminder from your infielders: Make sure you’re using a 4-seam grip when throwing your pick offs. We would rather that throw be as straight as possible, not a running, sinking or cutting 2-seam fastball! Thank you!! 😃

It's crazy to me how many high school hitters aren't ready to hit a fastball...especially a low velocity fast ball (under 88mph). Baseball is too difficult to have any approach other than hunting fastballs, being ready to hit a fastball, and being on time to a fastball.
