My love and respect to trans women always. I can’t imagine what this will do to the constant culture war. I will stand with and support you in fixing and facing down the rights gap this opens up and the ways you could now face even more discrimination as women in daily life.💚🏳️‍⚧️

We’ve paid a privatisation tax on water for 36 years. New We Own It research shows that 35% of your bill goes to debt interest and shareholder dividends - not fixing our broken system. Privatisation has failed. It's time to bring water back under public ownership.

It was a good question!! If you agree with me that Labour should set out what percentage of their 1.5 million new homes will be social housing, get in touch with Any Answers to carry on the discussion BBC Politics. bbc.co.uk/programmes/art…

Hundreds of people have gathered on College Green this afternoon for a peaceful protest in solidarity with Bristol’s trans community; as well as creating a platform for trans, non-binary and intersex voices to be heard

"This is a marathon, not a sprint" Green Councillor Raphael Hill today at Brighton's protest against this week's horrific Supreme Court decision. The fight for trans rights and self-ID didn't end this week, and won't end until it's won.

“Trans people are less than 1% of the population. Trans people are not the reason you can't afford eggs, or pay your rent. I think you might be focused on the wrong 1%.” - Bristol Central MP Carla Denyer  quotes Laverne Cox at trans rights demo in Bristol today.

On trans rights and the Supreme Court on BBC Any Questions… My feminism includes trans women and I am so disapponted at the court and worried what’s next. There is work to do and (like the audience) give my solidarity to trans people, and commit to working with you to fix this.

Condolences to Catholics in Brighton and elsewhere. The final message from the late Pope called for peace in multiple conflicts, a halt to the stirring up of ‘contempt’ for migrants and for politicians not to yield to the logic of fear that can lead to isolation and persecution.

What remains clear is that this ruling hasn't offered any clarity. Anyone can see that the practicalities of existing as a trans woman have been made significantly more complicated.

All of us, whether we’re trans or not, deserve dignity and respect, and the freedom to go about our daily lives without fear of abuse or harassment. Govt has urgent Qs to answer about how it will ensure those rights for trans people - sadly I didn't get those answers yesterday.
