Our son has learnt to hold his hands together and pray when he sees a temple or what we associate as Godly figures. On our way back home, he saw a mosque and started praying. He felt that it was holy and was a place of worship and then looked at us for reassurance.

I'm no expert, but it seems to me that the government is digging a deeper hole for itself the more it talks about the app. Don't challenge hackers, don't try to use PR terms like "privacy by design” with this. It'll only hurt you.

The fact that AS exists without a legal ordinance is in itself illegal. I'm not sure if the Epidemic Act allows the creation of such an app in the first place. But I've heard policy think tanks say this app is illegal at the moment.
