Hot off the electric press is Maryam Abdinejad's new paper in ACS Catalysis. Maryam electrografted pyridine molecules to a silver catalyst, seeing varying levels of electrochemical activity for CO2RR as a function of chain length. 1/2 pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…

This work by H.P. van Montfort was an incredibly fun way of indirectly visualizing electrochemical reactions by correlating GDE temperature to activity. There are many applications presented for both fundamental and applied research. I briefly talk about 2 below 👇. 1/3

Word is out! Tom Burdyny’s and my work is online! In this work, we make use of intrinsic inefficiencies in an electrolyzer to detect electrochemical activity at a gas-diffusion electrode using an infrared camera. Go give it a read! Chemical Engineering TUDelft TU Delft

Our lab Chemical Engineering TUDelft is once again hiring, this time for an industrial project on Upscaling CO2-to-CO Electrolyzers. tudelft.nl/over-tu-delft/… Here is a🧵of what we can offer you... 1/n #chempostdoc #CO2 #electrolysis

After more than 2 years of online talks, it was great to give a 'real' talk at the nanoGeConferences ! Wonderful weather, amazing food and the beach made it even more fun! Special thanks to F. Pelayo García de Arquer and his team for organizing the Solar Fuels symposium. #MATSUS22 #SolarFuels

Glad to see our work online! Tom Burdyny Kailun Yang Mengran (Aaron) Li Mark Sassenburg Maryam Abdinejad erdem bebop

Perspective article discusses the mechanisms for salt formation, and recently reported strategies for preventing or reversing salt formation in zero-gap CO2 reduction membrane electrode assemblies Tom Burdyny Wilson Smith pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…

Props to Mark Sassenburg for the second work in his PhD program which provides a unified discussion on preventing salt precipitation in the CO2 reduction field. Great co-authors in Maria Kelly and Siddhartha Subramanian

It was great working with Mengran (Aaron) Li for the past 1.5 years, who as a Postdoc played a major role in helping me and other PhDs in our lab. Will miss those fun scientific and non-scientific discussions but wish him a great success in his new role at University of Melbourne !

📰Two months ago Maryam Abdinejad headed to MIT, but her Chemical Engineering TUDelft research is still coming! Her latest is out in Advanced Energy Materials and investigates high surface area MXene aerogel catalysts for CO2 conversion to formate. Very exciting! onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.10…

Been wanting to get into CO2-electrolysis? Tom Burdyny’s lab has your back! 🙌🏻 In our latest ACSEnergyLett Viewpoint we detail our setup and guide you through al steps for assembly and operation of lab-scale CO2 electrolyzers. Thank you, PKamat! pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…
