Another icon has passed. I was around 14, I reckon, when I got my first stereo with a CD player—pure excitement. The Beach Boys’ CD was my first buy. My mates gave me grief, saying it wasn’t cool, but I didn’t care. I had good vibrations blasting from my speaker

The Karate Kid. Always Loved this movie. Only in the '80s would you see a teen karate tournament, full contact, no gloves, no protection whatsoever. Wild times.

I’ve been a fan of The Black Keys since the beginning. This was the first time I’ve seen them live, I think I may even have been a little star struck. The show was loud and vibrant and everything I thought it would be.
