Following our recent Innovation Day, University Teacher Claire McNamara part of School of Nursing and Midwifery, UL was selected as one of two prize winners of the Spark Bursary. Her idea is using 3D printing to create physical models to improve practical education of handwashing techniques.


They have arrived! Thank you to the Rapid Innovation Unit Rapid Innovation Unit especially Siobhan Meany @siobhan_RIU and Dr Aidan O Sullivan Aidan O' Sullivan for developing 3d printed physical models to mirror the individual steps of correct handwashing technique.



RIU's Una Cronin is looking for OTs, physios and hand therapists to complete her survey as part of her PhD! The survey is closing soon so be sure to get it done this week! It is very quick to completeā³
