Proud to see our MD Anderson-UTH Grad PhD student @SungaGema doing an incredible job presenting her work at the National Cancer Institute @NIDCR Immuno-Oncology Translational Network meeting at NIH discussing the tumor immune microenvironment in preclinical models of oral cancer! #weareutsd

Just accepted - "Artificial Intelligence Applications in Oral Cancer and Oral Dysplasia" with C. Viet DDS, MD, PhD, FACS et al. in Tissue Eng Part A. Very excited to see how machine learning will enhance our ability to predict the behavior of oral dysplasia and cancer! tinyurl.com/yud4hrmc

Here with the Young Lab at UTHealth at the Allison Institute Symposium hearing the latest and greatest on “Immunotherapy in Space and Time” at TMC3. Incredible roster of presentations, just a block away from UTHealth Houston School of Dentistry! Speaks to the incredible collaborative environment we have here!

Collaboration is central to what we do UTHealth Houston School of Dentistry. Very excited to be working with Chun-Teh Lee (Perio), Omid Veiseh (Rice BioE), and @jeffrey_j_tabor (Rice BioSciences) on biomaterial-enhanced living cytokine factories for periodontal dz and oral cancer. tinyurl.com/yx29edbk

Another great Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer meeting done and dusted. Great line up of speakers, learned a lot as usual, and enjoyed seeing Andrea Hernandez Molina and @SungaGema present their work at the poster sessions. Well done!

Bone regeneration in compromised wounds is tough! We continue our collaboration with Paulo G. Coelho Lukasz Witek, PhD and Kurt Kasper, developing a challenging preclinical model of ORN to test bone grafting strategies. tinyurl.com/jxr9j7sc

Congrats to Caitlynn Barrows for successfully defending her PhD this week at MD Anderson-UTH Grad. Co-mentored by Simon Young and Cindy Farach-Carson, she's the 1st PhD student to graduate from Young Lab at UTHealth. We're so proud of her for her amazing work with human salivary gland stem/progenitor cells.
