We have two other athletes competing in separate meets this weekend as well! Yolanda Ngarambe will compete at the Swedish Indoor Championship in the 3000m (Fri.), 1500m Prelims (Sat.) and 1500m Finals (Sun.).

This evening, Rob Heppenstall will race in the mile with Eion Nohilly pacing at the Last Chance Meet in Arkansas at 7:00 p.m. CST

Scratch my name off the list💔 This will be my second time qualifying for the Olympics and my second time being denied selection by the Swedish Olympic Committee. Ran the OLY standard for Tokyo, and qualified by ranking for Paris. Make it make sense

Samuel Pihlström the only middle/long distance runner that the Swedish Olympic Committee has added to the previously announced. SOC denied the following Olympians (not to be) Simon Sundström, Emil Blomberg, Leo Magnusson, steeple, Yolanda Ngarambe 1500m, all of them qualified by WA.

This shit is ridiculous. In what other sport do countries and/or teams deny invites to their championships/ Olympics. Not apples to apples but could you imagine NFL teams routinely rejecting wild card berths cuz their owners felt like they didn’t have a chance at the Super Bowl?!

Just an unbelievable decision by the Swedish Olympic Committee. How do you leave off an athlete and deny them their dream - TWICE - after they’ve worked their butts off for years and met all qualifications set by the IOC. That just goes against all that the Olympics represent…

An excellent run by Kenneth Rooks of the USA to take silver in the 3000m Steeplechase running a huge 9 sec PB. It's worth noting that he qualified via a world rankings position, just showing that anything can happen.
