❌There’s little realistic risk that Isak walks out of Newcastle pursuing an Art 17/Diarra free transfer. Nor will that remote possibility give Liverpool any meaningful leverage. If nothing else, no club wants to encourage a collapse of the status quo transfer system. Red herring

You've even got PSG fans arguing wage exceptionalism. PSG with probably a €650-700m wage bill for the season just gone. 🤪

Yes an amazing deal. £1.2m in levy, c£3m in agent fees, £5m in wages and a £5m cash loss for just 259 minutes. That's about £55k a minute (excluding the cost of capital). Brilliant.

For some reason, no attendance figures for the West Ham v Bournemouth and United v Everton Atlanta games. A lot of unsold seats.

Given the Summer, probably would be better for Newcastle to stop briefing who their targets are until the deals are as good as signed. Just inviting competition/potential further embarrassment

This answer was telling. But also largely wrong. Related party deals have always had to be FMV. And as for Europe, there are already more stringent rules than in the Premier League in UEFA rules.

Absolutely fearless work from Gary Neville on the Levy interview to do a walk round of the Spurs art gallery and to probe hard about the return of the old gates and the Barbara Kruger homage 🤪

Those arguments sound pretty weak to me especially as Palace made no attempt to do anything at all in respect of those “relaxed” rules because they said they had no need and no power to do so. Clearly CP disagree given they have leaked it to The Times.

There are no clubs outside of Saudi that could pay anywhere near £70m for Jackson even with his £65k a week salary

Neither Gary Neville nor Daniel Levy were even close on the budget of the IFR. It will not have £40m to spend. It’s nearer £10m and is wholly inadequate for its remit

If only United had billionaire owners, access to the World’s biggest banks or the most liquid equity market on the planet they’d be able to raise the cash. Hey ho

Not a good set of arguments from CP. Given the very limited hearing time, the case is largely going to be decided by the written submissions which may have been seen by MK.
