Yes. In Unreal Engine you use C++ and Blueprints in tandem - C++ code is used to make more blueprint nodes available. Hytale will follow the same approach and you use Java plugins to make unlock more nodes in our visual scripting.

Yes, the singleplayer spins up a local server so that you can enjoy plugins even in singleplayer. There is no difference between multiplayer and singleplayer.

Remember it is not there yet. This is the vision, we have a lot of development to catch up on and for now it is Java plugins with Visual Scripting being introduced shortly after launch. Anything you'd be able to do in Visual Scripting is already available in Java today.
