#SLRCS_CP3 program is positively impacting remote border communities by providing essential health information. Through community engagement and education, the team is helping individuals prevent, detect, and respond to disease threats.

Rev. Bishop Fayia has been elected Chairman of the #WCGNS, marking a significant development for #SLRCS. The election took place on August 11, 2024, in Accra, with the presence of key #IFRC Officials.

A search and rescue operation in Congo Town, Freetown, at a collapsed building, will conclude today. The incident occurred two days ago and involved multiple agencies and #SLRCS_volunteers. Four people were rescued from the rubble, but sadly, two of them later passed away.

#SLRCS_Bombali branch is preparing for their upcoming enrollment classes and certification ceremony scheduled for this coming September. Over the previous months, the branch has been actively recruiting volunteers in the districts to further strengthen its response efforts.

2,000 seedlings have been delivered to two districts to enhance food security. More seedlings will be distributed to nine districts in total. Training sessions empower local communities to manage environmental risks and promote sustainability.

#SLRCS_CP3 program provides life-saving information to enhance resilience against #MPOX - a health threat. No confirmed cases yet in Sierra Leone, but #community_based_volunteers are actively sensitizing & monitoring for any signs of the disease in border communities.

#SLRCS conducted Life-Saving Skills training for Tony Blair Institute staff covering essential first aid skills for office safety and emergency response. Participants learned about wound care, CPR, AED use, and workplace injury management through practical demonstrations.

A 4-day workshop on the 27th of August organized by #SLRCS_CP3 for #IFRC & #SLRCS program personnel. The workshop aims to develop a work plan and budget for FY25. The agenda includes discussions on expanding to new districts and emphasizing collaboration.

We’re continuing to make significant strides in developing a comprehensive work plan for the #CP3 program 4 #FY25. Our team is deep in discussions and sharing insights to ensure our efforts are aligned with the National Society's goals, and donor and partner requirements.

The #SLRCS USAID's Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance is providing financial literacy training to VSLA members in 90 communities across 9 districts. The training aims to enhance financial management skills and promote economic development, using participatory methods.
