Supported a formulation of a service users difficulties today. I learnt about cognitive thinking errors, polyvagal theory and advocated for his communication; making sure the formulation would be accessible to the service user! Clear communication is always key 🗣️ #LDspeechies

Have had a few insightful conversations with a friend (Jr Dr) about the role of SLT in a geriatric ward recently. At first, he said he only knew of SLTs role in dysphagia and wasn’t sure on how we support communication as he speaks simply to patients. (My face 😳)
